Leon Loy, 79, Formerly Of Pearl River

PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- Leon Loy, formerly of Pearl River, died Friday, Nov. 25. He was 79.

Loy was born June 28, 1937, in Romania, to Adam and Caecilie Loy. 

He was an electrician for IBEW Local 363 in Rockland County before his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960-62. He lived in Pearl River for 48 years and resided in Baldwinsville the past 12 years. 

He is survived by his wife, Gladys; sons, Joseph and wife Rebecca and Edward and wife Tara; grandson, Ian; granddaughters, Fiona, Maeve and Kiera; and sisters, Maria O’Brien and Angela Stelz.

Visiting is from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc., 100 Franklin Ave, Pearl River. There will be a prayer service at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
